The Wellness Cycle. is Dear Ambitious Girl’s flagship initiative focused on enhancing overall wellness, mental health, and period equity for girls + women.
This December, 2024, we are creating and distributing care packages to 100 girls across two schools in Nigeria, with each school receiving 50 packages. These care packages are designed to provide essential resources and support, fostering a sense of empowerment and community among the girls.
Why is The Wellness Cycle. important?
Health and Wellness: Care packages include sanitary products, personal hygiene items, and nutritional supplements, essential for maintaining physical health.
Period Poverty: By providing sanitary products, we help girls attend school confidently and without interruption. About 25% of Nigerian women and girls lack access to menstrual hygiene products, impacting their education and well-being.
Mental Health: Care packages offer resources and information on mental health, supporting overall well-being and encouraging open discussions.
Empowerment and Education: We empower girls by providing necessary resources, helping to break the cycle of poverty and fostering a brighter future.
