The Wellness Cycle. is Dear Ambitious Girl’s flagship initiative focused on enhancing overall wellness, mental health, and period equity for girls + women.
This January, 2025, we are creating and distributing care packages to about 500 girls ages 15-18 years, across four schools in Nigeria. These care packages are designed to provide essential resources and support, fostering a sense of empowerment and community among the girls.
Why is The Wellness Cycle. important?
Health and Wellness: Care packages include sanitary products, personal hygiene items, and nutritional supplements, essential for maintaining physical health.
Period Poverty: By providing sanitary products, we help girls attend school confidently and without interruption. About 25% of Nigerian women and girls lack access to menstrual hygiene products, impacting their education and well-being.
Mental Health: Care packages offer resources and information on mental health, supporting overall well-being and encouraging open discussions.
Empowerment and Education: We empower girls by providing necessary resources, helping to break the cycle of poverty and fostering a brighter future.
